Why do I feel unhappy though I have everything in life?
Everybody wants happiness. I believe that when you are happy you have a good mind. If you have a good mind, you have good thoughts that can lead to creating new ideas , which can lead to action then success. Happiness has a lot of meaning, making it difficult to describe because it can mean very different things to different individuals. Unhappiness, on the other hand, is simple to identify – you know when you're unhappy because your stomach grumbles, can't sleep at night and you don't find enjoyment to some activities anymore. If you're young, active, have a wonderful career, and it appears that many others are envious of your circumstances, yet you're still miserable and unhappy.
People are unhappy for three basic reasons, regardless of their profession, age, or social status.
1. Complaining- Complaining is a depressing way of life in and of itself. It's even worse if you complain but don't do anything about it. You are conditioning your brain to focus on negative features rather than positive ones by repeatedly thinking and talking about the things that dissatisfy and upset you.
2. There is a feeling of dissatisfaction. There is a desire to acquire more, to have more. A desire to have a higher salary. Wanting to have more job satisfaction. So for these things you may have a big house, a car, because of your higher income but these could also lead to a lot of stress and you may not have time for family even for yourself anymore.
3. Life is meaningless. That is to say, all of the lovely things you have in your life do not give your life meaning or purpose.
How to be happy in life:
1. Every day, right before you go to bed, find a cause to be grateful for what you have today.First, thank God for the many blessings, your family, your children, your parents. Be grateful for small things, It could be anything, starting with a stranger's smile and ending with a colleague who assisted you today with a difficult project. Thank them.If you are physically fit today, you are so much luckier than the millions of people who die of diseases. It's something to be thankful for if you have a roof over your head and can afford two dinners at McDonald's. Also, Call your mother and tell her how much you love her, and thank your friend for always being there for you.
2. Try helping others , it won't just boost your confidence but also reduce your stress and make you feel calmer and peaceful Giving your time to something that touches your heart will give your life meaning, which will lead to happiness. Don't hold your anger.
Don't expect much. Humans continue to set higher goals, dream bigger dreams, and have higher expectations. However, when things don't go according to plan, we get unhappy and disillusioned.Have what you want but want what you have is a secret to happiness. Again, Take a look back and be thankful for what you have now.
3. Enjoy life, go to the ballgames, see your friends, not just on their birthdays. Dance with your husband/wife, and tell him/her how much you love them. Kiss your kids. Turn up the volume of the music. Begin to notice the small joys until they become big and more significant.
